about

The second in a cycle of electronic fantasias contemplating the Centaurus constellation. Proxima Centauri is the nearest known star to our sun, and belongs to the binary star system of Alpha Centauri or 'Rigel Kent'. Magnetic activity causes sudden dramatic increases in its brightness, making it a 'flare star', even though its general luminosity is low. The music contains many flare-ups and emissions of sound, and the general pattern is one of increasingly blurred and distant sonic perspectives.
